Name: Aaron Beatty

Occupation: Illustrator/Inker/Creative

Date of Birth: None of Your Damn Business!!! Oops…My bad. Let’s just say I’m old enough to do whatever I want to do.

Earliest Childhood Memory: I don’t remember much before the age of six. However, what stands out is my first day of school. My education started in the first grade {that’s right…no kindergarten for me}. It took a while for me to accept how regimented school was or how regimented life could become.

Asking permission from a teacher to use the bathroom was a bit ridiculous. After asking and receiving permission, two things occurred in the boy’s room; One- I was in my very first fight a losing battle between two older boys and me. While in the restroom, getting myself together after my first ass-kicking, I discovered the second thing that changed my life. Scribbled on the wall of that cold, piss stinking bathroom were 5 letters “P-U-S-S-Y”. My young life had been changed from that moment on.

Personal Heroes: My Father {Charles Beatty}, my Grandfather {Reverend Joseph M. Beatty}, my Grandmother {Clara Beatty}, Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, John A. Williams, Miles Davis, and a whole bunch of people too vast to mention.

Greatest Ambition Fulfilled: I’ve met author Ashe, Muhammad Ali, and Julius Irving during a six month period.

Greatest Ambition Unfulfilled: I’m not dead yet, there’s a lot to see and do. I’m going to keep those things to myself.

Last Books Read: Will You Die For Me by Flores Forbes
